The independent local newsroom Relevanzreporter gUG from Nuremberg/ Germany is doing future- and solution oriented journalism together with its community – the citizens of Nuremberg. With the help of MediaFutures they are going to start a first community-research project, combining the GPS-technology with community-driven local journalism to create impact on society, politics and environment and overall: Bring back trust in media through being part of it.

The non-profit-newsroom Relevanzreporter gUG in Nuremberg/ Germany is founded by Alexandra Haderlein. Journalist for 14 years with several fellowships (e.g. at Hamburg Media School, “Stars4media” or CUNY – City University of New York). She’s also a digital/ data journalism lecturer and built up in the last 20 month a team of around 20 media professional. Since that time the team worked without getting money, just invested 200.000 euros in developing this offer which is meanwhile a flagship project in German local journalism.
