We live in a time of information overload. Roughly 60% of the planet is online today, and every year there are 300 million new users joining online. This has a huge impact on the amount of information that is posted, searched for, and spread every second. Every day there are around 500 million tweets, millions of new blog posts, and 5,6 billion searches just on Google. Finding relevant information is difficult, but finding credible information is a much bigger challenge. Misinformation and disinformation erode our trust in societies, economies, and democracies, as well as the media. Our goal at Factiverse is to equip journalists and content creators with patented AI-driven solutions that help them to do their best work faster and prevent the spread of misinformation. We provide automated detection of misinformation and a credibility check for any online information by using cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Our product: We build a B2B tool for media with a focus on fact-checking and credibility. We help journalists discover credible information at a higher pace and higher accuracy, providing them with a competitive advantage. Our solution is an API for frontend, backend or Content Management systems (CMS) and our own search engine/algorithm is tailored for fact-checking and research.
Factiverse has a strong team, both technically and commercially, to commercialize the technology. We have combined 25 years of experience in media, text mining and gamification. Our CEO and co-founder, Maria Amelie worked as a journalist since 2011, winning an award as Best Startup journalist in 2015. In parallel, she has written five non-fiction books on technology and migration. Our co-founder and CTO, Vinay Setty is a brilliant scientist with a passion for data science, he focuses on creating groundbreaking technology. He has spent the past 12 years researching text and graph mining which is crucial for Factiverse’s tools.
