MediaFutures runs a support programme for startups, SMEs and artists, selected through a total of three Open Calls and divided in three tracks: ‘Startups for Citizens’, ‘Startup meets Artist’ and ‘Artists for Media’.

The 1st cohort with 12 projects graduated in September 2021 which are presented here, including their applied data tools and their results.

The 2nd cohort has started the START phase in April 2022 with 24 projects. They are presented below.

The 5 projects selected in the ‘Artists for Media’ track joined the Artist residency programme. The projects from the ‘Startups for Citizens’ track and the ‘Startup meets Artist’ track will have the opportunity to pitch at the end of April and some of them will be selecteded for the BUILD phase which will run until September 2022. At the end of the programme, participants will showcase their projects and artworks in an online DemoDay in September 2022 and a prize of €5,000 for artists and €10,000 for startups will be awarded for the most successful contestants, following the decision of a jury.
