After 6 months, 22 training sessions, four dozen hours of individual meetings and a few more of collective ones, the first round of MediaFutures’ support programme is over!

What a pleasure to support those incredible projects, and monitor the progress of such inspiring teams.

From online platforms allowing new types of dialogue to artworks revealing the different facets of deep-fakes; startups, SMEs and artists found various ways to tackle misinformation through responsible and innovative uses of data.

We finished the programme in style with the Demo Day.

This online event took place on September 23rd. The 12 teams presented the outcomes of their residency/acceleration in front of a jury of experts from business, data, technology and art fields. The general audience was also invited to this public event showcasing the results of this first round of support programme.

Thanks to zummit platform the audience (virtually) wandered between the various stands, discovering pictures, videos of the projects and discussing with the teams themselves. Besides the exhibition, the majority of the event happened in the main stage, where each team had 15 minutes to present its results and answer questions from the jury.

Although these online events bring their share of technical issues and frustration of not being gathered physically, the online Demo Day allowed us to publicly present the achievement of MediaFutures’ supported projects and brought the teams together one last time.

We want to thank all the teams who took part in this first round of support programme. It was challenging but so worth it!
