Rainbow Rights (RR) is the European platform that monitors the situation of LGBTQ+ rights in the European continent and makes the data behind this accessible to citizens.

The platform will monitor the current state and the evolution of LGBTQ+ rights starting from 2013 across 7 thematic domains: Asylum, Civil society space, Equality & non-discrimination, Family, Intersex bodily integrity, Hate crime & hate speech, and Legal gender recognition. The data will be disclosed and narrated through interactive data visualizations, making the insights easy to interpret and share by a broader and sometimes inexperienced audience.

Through RR, policymakers can base their work on a more informed foundation, European citizens can become more aware of their rights in their own country and in other countries, media producers can design contents that rely on verified facts and data. RR supports and fosters a more transparent, informed debate on LGBTQ+ people’s rights and needs.
