

The Design Entrepreneurship Institute is a not-profit think tank based in Brussels (Belgium), working at European level thanks to an extended network of experts participatory innovation practices, socio-economic impact assessment of research and innovation initiatives; research on climate change mitigation, environmental issues such as transition to a low-carbon society and the resilience of society; (Digital) Social Innovation, inclusion and non-discrimination, strategic consultancy on innovation of processes, use of ICT technologies and software technology transfer as well as project communication and dissemination. Experts of DEN are well positioned in the Media community through their involvement in two projects on media (i3 and SOMA) and as Vice-Chair of the New European Media Initiative. In MediaFutures DEN is coordinating the communication and dissemination activities and will implement the socio-economic impact assessment.
The core MediaFutures team of DEN is: Andrea Nicolai, president, who will mainly work on the set-up of the MediaFutures stakeholder community connecting it with SOMA and the New European Media Initiative, Antonella Passani, senior researcher, in charge of the socio-economic impact assessment and Katja Firus, partner and project manager who leads the communication and dissemination activities of the project. Other colleagues will contribute to specific parts of the project.
